12/29/2023 0 Comments Ios calorie tracker appTake a look at the best free calorie-tracking apps. Completely inexcusable that I can't even type in "chicken" or "rice" or "broccoli" and get reliable, consistent results. Apps make it easier to consistently track your calorie intake (along with other habits, like workouts). I think it's actually absolutely horrendous. But everyone always talks about how wonderful the database is, and I'm just not seeing it. Seriously, the app is great once you've got the values in. We're talking about chicken breast, which I'd be shocked if it wasn't the number-one most logged food in the whole world. You type in "chicken breast" and the top result is "BBQ Chicken Breast" from a place called "Aladdin." If you scroll down past the fold, you can find what appears to be values for chicken breast that you'd buy from a grocery store, but they are wildly disparate.Īnd we're not talking about something obscure here. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc.īut is the database actually good? I find it almost comically absurd that they don't have curated, verified values for things like, I dunno, chicken breast and rice and broccoli.
